Real problem solvers

BioBeads® (2020) is a startup emerging from UFRJ that provides consulting and technological prospecting services in the area of polymers and carries out research and development activities for the production of new polymeric materials.
The company resides in the Coppe Business Incubator - UFRJ and, in a short time, has already gone through Acceleration Programs, such as Braskem Labs (2021) and the 100+labs Program (2022), from Ambev. In 2023, BioBeads® already has 07 approved R&D calls for proposals.

Encapsulated Sunscreen
Biodegradable and/or biocompatible particles on a nanometric scale containing encapsulated photoprotective agents

1) Mitigates or even prevents the absorption of potentially carcinogenic and/or irritating and/or allergenic compounds;
2) Extends agent stability;
3) Reduces the concentration of agent required to obtain the desired photoprotection factor with a synergistic effect:
chemical of the agents and physical of the particles);
